We opened in November 2018, but our passion and expertise go way back to our Founder’s roots. The Founder of 57 Bridge Street, Claire Cooke, was brought up in a Hotel in Cornwall, run by her parents. With a considerable chunk of her family working in the hospitality industry from cousins, uncles, aunts, and grandparents, even her great-great, grandmother ran a B&B!
Her husband, Phil Cooke started working at 16 in large hotels and event. They embarked on this journey at 57 Bridge Street with the desire to create a place for people to come to where they could find small-batch, artisanal goods at a fair price, never compromising on quality. Between the Deli, Bar & Kitchen, there’s something for everyone. This devoted couple has decades of experience behind them, and a real passion for high-quality service, crafting beautiful experiences for all to enjoy.
Together, they have lived and breathed hospitality, they say it’s in the blood!
